Lucknow: The UP Police Recruitment Exam was successfully completed on Friday, the second day of the exam, across all 67 districts of the state, thanks to the Yogi government’s meticulous planning. A total of 6,57,443 candidates took the exam at 1,174 centers, with the process being overseen by 25,000 police officers and 2,300 magistrates to ensure safety and order.
The Yogi government’s commitment to conducting transparent and fair examinations has effectively deterred solver gangs and examination mafias from interfering. Candidates expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements, praising the government’s efforts and giving the examination setup a perfect score of 10 out of 10.
Rajeev Krishna, Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, said that on the second day of the UP Police recruitment examination, 6,57,443 candidates appeared in two shifts, achieving a pass ratio of 79.11%. In the first shift, 3,21,322 candidates took the exam out of 4,12,155 who had downloaded their admit cards, with 30 suspicious candidates identified but still allowed to sit for the exam. The board will continue to monitor these individuals.

Similarly, in the second shift, 3,36,121 candidates appeared out of 4,12,418 with 42 suspicious candidates identified and permitted to take the exam under close scrutiny. Overall, 68.2% of candidates attended the exam across both shifts.
DGP Prashant Kumar personally inspected several examination centers, including Lucknow University and National PG College, finding all security arrangements in order. He provided further instructions to officials to ensure the examination’s transparency and fairness.
In addition, the Transport Corporation provided free bus services to candidates, including complimentary travel on electric buses in various districts, enhancing accessibility for all examinees.
The UP Police maintained a vigilant presence at every exam center across the state, ensuring that the police recruitment examination was conducted peacefully and without cheating. Candidates were subjected to a rigorous three-stage security check before being allowed inside the centers.
On the second day of the exam, police registered cases against 17 individuals, with 20 suspects arrested and sent to jail. Among those apprehended was Anirudh Modanlal, who was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) for allegedly cheating by promising leaked question papers through a Telegram channel. Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board filed an FIR in Hussainganj, Lucknow, against individuals spreading false rumors about a paper leak.
Candidates laud Yogi Government’s exam arrangements
Candidates emerging from the UP Police recruitment examination commended the Yogi government’s extensive efforts to ensure a cheating-free and secure exam process. They acknowledged that while the stringent measures caused some inconvenience, they were necessary to protect the integrity of the exam. “Our future is safe with this strictness of CM Yogi,”
A candidate remarked, expressing confidence that the rigorous precautions eliminated any fear of a paper leak this time around. Many gave the Yogi government’s arrangements a perfect score of 10 out of 10.
Some candidates also shared that they performed well in the exam and were eagerly awaiting their results, with smiles on their faces reflecting their confidence in achieving their dreams under the current administration. The candidates expressed satisfaction not only with the exam arrangements, but also with the facilities provided by the government. They thanked the Yogi administration for offering free travel on roadways buses and additional train coaches, which made their journey easier.
Additionally, for the first time, special arrangements were made for candidates and their parents traveling from other districts, with accommodations provided in various locations across the state on the instructions of CM Yogi. The RSS also contributed by organizing accommodation and meals for candidates in several areas, further ensuring their comfort during the exam period.
