Mathura/Meerut/Ghaziabad: The BJP’s star campaigner and Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath, set the tone for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday by seeking the blessings of Lord Krishna in Mathura. Here, the Chief Minister interacted with the ‘prabuddhjans’, seeking votes in support of BJP candidate and incumbent MP Hema Malini.

In Meerut, Yogi Adityanath spearheaded the campaign for Arun Govil, known for his portrayal of ‘Ram’ in the iconic TV serial Ramayana, and in Ghaziabad, he led the charge for BJP candidate Atul Garg. During this period, CM Yogi also presented the accomplishments of the Modi government over the past decade.

As he addressed the intellectuals, Yogi Adityanath not only emphasized key issues such as the welfare of the underprivileged, respect for faith, development, security, and infrastructure development but also launched a vigorous attack on the opposition parties. The CM underscored the significance of each vote to the people and remarked, “After 500 years, our Raghuveera has celebrated a grand Holi in Awadh.” He also asserted that there is no confusion among the public regarding the 18th Lok Sabha this time.

Modi ji’s side advocates for zero tolerance

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, addressing the ‘prabuddhjans’ in Mathura, highlighted the clear divide in the election campaign. He asserted, “One side prioritizes ‘family first,’ whereas the Modi-led party places ‘nation first.’ While one side supports mafia rule through its actions, Modi ji’s side effectively implements the rule of law. While one camp fosters corruption, Modi ji’s administration stands firm with zero tolerance. One side seeks to sow divisions based on appeasement, caste, and religion, whereas the other endeavors to extend the benefits of welfare schemes to the needy without discrimination through Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. On one side, there are those who emphasize familial interests, while on the other, there’s Modi, who regards 140 crore people as his family. We have to see the new India by becoming a part of Modi’s family.”

Raghuvira played Holi in Awadh after 500 years

While addressing the ‘prabuddhjans’ in Meerut, CM Yogi said that the actor breathed life into Lord Ram’s character in the popular Ramayana serial three decades ago, and would become the identity of Meerut. “Arun Govil will now create history in Meerut. Meerut created rather than being recorded in history.” He said that earlier during Holi, the song ‘Holi khele Raghuvira Avadh mein…’ was sung, adding, “but when we went to Ayodhya, we did not find Raghuvira (Lord Ram) playing Holi there. This time, Lord Ram played Holi in Ayodhya with full grandeur.”

“Changes happening in Meerut are being witnessed by the entire country today. Rapid rail work is underway here with an investment of Rs 32,000 crores. With the construction of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, people from Meerut can reach Delhi in less than an hour. The state’s first sports university is being established in Meerut. Ganga Expressway is the epitome of development,” Yogi added.

Every vote contributes to the ease of living

Addressing the intellectuals in Ghaziabad, the Chief Minister appealed to the doctors, professionals, CAs, teachers, and entrepreneurs of the city to cast their votes in favor of the party candidate, Atul Garg.

The Chief Minister expressed, “Extremism and terrorism have received their final blow. Today, instead of stone-pelting on our security personnel, democracy is flourishing in Jammu and Kashmir. Your single vote played a pivotal role in liberating Northeast India from insurgency.” CM Yogi reiterated the nationwide sentiment reflected in the slogans ‘Abki bar, 400 par,’ and ‘Phir ek bar Modi sarkar.’

CM Yogi emphasized the significance of each vote in enhancing the ‘ease of living.’ He highlighted the transformative changes witnessed since 2014 at the national level and since 2017 in the state, encompassing enhanced security, improved environment, better connectivity, and conducive conditions for health, education, and business. Reflecting on the past, he recalled his hesitation to visit Ghaziabad in 1998 when he was an MP, citing its reputation for crime and disorder. “However, today, Ghaziabad stands as a shining example of urban development, ranking at the forefront among smart cities”, he stated.
