Patna: The Election Commission has directed the transfer of numerous administrative officers in Bihar following the announcement of the dates for the Lok Sabha elections in the country. Under these circumstances, the Election Commission approved the appointment of Pratyaya Amrit, a 1991 batch IAS official, as Bihar’s new Home Secretary.
The Election Commission has assigned him the role of home secretary. Following the Election Commission’s order, the General Administration Department issued a notification. Dr. S. Siddharth, an IAS officer, had already been removed on Election Commission directions from the post of home secretary.
Pratyaya Amrit is a highly intelligent officer. Pratyaya Amrit, a 1991 batch officer, has overseen numerous significant departments. He is considered to be very close to the government and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Beginning July 27, 2020, he served as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department.
At the same time, he assumed responsibility for the Road Construction Department beginning September 9, 2021. In addition, he oversaw the disaster management department.
Pratyaya Amrit, born in Bihar’s Gopalganj district, is an IAS officer from the 1991 batch. He has been in charge of major infrastructure development projects in Bihar, such as road connectivity and power supply.
