Bettiah: Maharaja Cricket Club and Monarch Cricket Club won their respective matches in the West Champaran District Cricket League being played under the aegis of the West Champaran Cricket Association.

The first match in the West Champaran District A Division Cricket League was played today between Bettiah Cricket Club and Maharaja Cricket Club. Bettiah captain Vishal won the toss and decided to bat first. With the help of captain Vishal’s 34 runs, Bettiah Cricket Club scored 98 runs. Maharaja’s bowlers Sultan took 3/24 runs and Nooran took 3/13 runs. In reply, the batsmen of Maharaja Cricket Club batted well and won the match by 5 wickets. Shahbaz contributed 27 runs and Kamran contributed 19 runs. Vishal and Rizwan took 2 wickets each from Bettiah Cricket Club.

In the second match, Monarch captain Om Kumar Singh won the toss and decided to bat. Opener Om Kumar Singh scored 29 runs, Akash Kumar scored 36 runs, Aftab Alam scored 35 runs. Monarch Cricket Club set a target of 175 runs. Dinesh, Nitin, Abhinandan took two wickets and Chandrakant took two wickets for Firoz XI.

In reply, Firoz XI were all out for 157 runs. For Monarch, Aftab, Nitin, Surya took two wickets. Akash took two wickets and Abhishek also took two wickets. In this way Monarch Club won the match by 18 runs.
