Vidarbha in strong position against Bihar in Col CK Nayudu Trophy

Patna: Bihar had an uphill task to avoid the innings defeat against Vidarbha in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy match at VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Tuesday. At the end of the third day’s play, Bihar were 79 for the loss of six wickets in their second innings. Vidarbha scored 614 runs in their first innings.

Bihar still need 236 runs to avoid the innings defeat with four wickets in hand. Bihar scored 299 runs in their first innings.

On the third day of the match, resuming the day at 297 for four Vidarbha were all out after scoring 614. Vidarbha took a first innings lead of 315 runs over Bihar.

Vidarbha players Jagjot scored 164 runs, Mandar Mahale scored 122 runs, Danish Malewar scored 139 runs and Neil Athale scored 63 runs. For Bihar, Anuj Raj took 5 wickets, Suraj Kashyap took 2 wickets and Vasudev, Aditya and Ankit Raj succeeded in taking one wicket each.

After falling behind by 315 runs in the first innings, Bihar scored 79 runs for six wickets in the second innings. For Bihar, Ayush Loharika scored 31 runs, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 19 runs, Md Alam scored 10 runs, Ankit Raj scored 6 runs and Akash Raj scored 6 runs. Siddharth Gautam (4) Suraj Kashyap (2) were on the crease.

For Vidarbha, Mandar took 4 wickets and Gaurav took 2 wickets.
