Star India win League cum Knock Out Kho-Kho League for Men Crown

Patna: Star India won the title of the first season of the five-day League cum Knock Out Kho-Kho League for Men, organized for the first time in the state by the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar to promote the Indian traditional Kho-Kho game.

In the final match of this league held at Acharya Shri Sudarshan Patna Central School campus, Star India defeated HR 61-41. In the final match, Ashwini Ranjan and Vinath Kumar performed brilliantly for Star India.

Earlier in the semi-finals, HR defeated the Daring Defenders 43-40. The performances of Suraj Kumar, Manish Kumar, Nikhil Kumar in this match were commendable. In the second semi-final, Star India defeated the Fearless Fighters by an innings and 2 runs. Star India’s Ashwini Ranjan, Abhay Kumar, Himanshu performed brilliantly.

Star India CMD Shashi Bhushan Prasad, Acharya Shri Sudarshan Patna Central School Director Satyam Sudarshan, Star India Directors Ashish Sinha and Manoj Kumar, General Manager Ekta Jindal, General Secretary of the Kho-Kho Association of Bihar Neeraj Kumar Pappu were present as chief guests at the award distribution ceremony. Probation Officer Ritesh Kumar, Senior Deputy Collector Ekta Kumari awarded prizes to the players of the winning and runner-up teams and others. Trophies, medals, certificates and a total cash prize of Rs 1 lakh were distributed among the players of the winning and runner-up teams. Best defender award was given to Ashwini Ranjan, best chaser award was given to Suraj Kumar, man of the match was given to Ashwini Ranjan.
