Bihar lose to Mizoram in Vijay Hazare Trophy

Patna: Bihar team’s losing streak continues in the Vijay Hazare Trophy ODI tournament. In the match played on Sunday, Mizoram defeated Bihar by 57 runs. This was Bihar’s fifth consecutive defeat. Out of six matches, one match has been cancelled. Bihar will play their last match against Chandigarh on December 5.

However, in the match against Mizoram, Babul Kumar (72 runs) and Raghavendra Pratap Singh (60 runs) scored half-centuries for Bihar.

In the Group C match being played in Ahmedabad, Mizoram won the toss and decided to bat first. Thanks to Mohit Jangra’s unbeaten 91 and Agni Chopra’s 48 runs, Mizoram scored 258 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

In reply, Mohit Jangra gave a big blow to Bihar team in the very first over. Opener Alok Kumar was out for zero. After that, Murari Kumar and Sakibul Gani were dismissed in the same over. Three batsmen of Bihar returned to the pavilion for 2 runs.

After this, Vipin Saurabh and Babul took over the innings for some time but this partnership could not be very big. Mohit Jangra got Vipin Saurabh caught by Agni Chopra on the personal score of 20 runs. After this, wickets were falling at regular intervals, which was stopped by Raghavendra Pratap Singh by supporting Babul Kumar. There was a partnership of 70 runs between these two.
