- Kishore Jena wins silver medal at the recently concluded Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games
New Delhi: IOS Sports and Entertainment Pvt Ltd, one of India’s leading sports management organization, today announced the signing of “New Contender for The Throne” Asian Games Silver medallist in Javelin – Kishore Kumar Jena. In the recently concluded Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, Kishore did his personal best with a throw of 87.54m. Even the 28-year-old Kalinga boy surprised everyone in the 3rd attempt of the finals of Asian Games and started leading the table with his throw of 86.
The 28-year-old Javelin thrower belongs to the Puri district of Odisha. Initially he started his sporting career as a volleyball player but then swiftly changed to Javelin on the advice of his coach. The 2023 season has been a major success for Jena, who first came into the limelight with a silver at the National Championship in Bhubaneshwar, which was followed by a gold in the Sri Lankan National Championship helping him qualify for World Championships in the process. At the World Championships, Jena who was making his debut secured a Top 5 position with a then personal best of 84.77m.

IOS Sports and Entertainment also manages the top women Javelin thrower Annu Rani, who had recently won gold medal at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games with a throw of 62.92m winning comfortably with a margin of 1.35m from the second placed Sri Lankan.
