Patna: Patna won the title of Sanjay Sinha Memorial Kabaddi Tournament organised on the first death anniversary of Sanjay Sinha, former vice president of Bihar State Kabaddi Assosictaion. The tournament was organised at Dev Kabaddi Academy, Fatuha, under the aegis of Bihar State Kabaddi Association. Four teams participated in this tournament.
In the final match, Patna defeated Nalanda 34-24. In the league matches held earlier, Patna defeated Jehanabad 41-26 and Nalanda beat Sheikhpura 36-22 to enter the final.
Sanjay Sinha’s uncle Dinesh Prasad Sinha inaugurated the tournament, He was also introduced to the players. Welcoming the guests, Bihar State Kabaddi Association’s secretary Kumar Vijay Singh said that Late Sinha was associated with the BSKA since its inception. He contributed a lot in the development of Kabaddi in Bihar which cannot be forgotten. He said that this tournament will be organized every year in a better way on this date.
Many players and dignitaries were present on the occasion including BSKA vice president Ramakant Singh, Pro Kabaddi Referee Rana Ranjit Singh, NIS Coach Bhavesh Kumar, NIS Coach Abhinav Kumar Singh, Coach Ramesh Kumar Yadav and Amar Kumar.
