Bhagalpur: Kartik of Patna set up final clash with Ranveer Singh of Patna in the boys U-17 singles of the Li-Ning Bihar State Junior (U-17/19) Ranking Badminton Tournament at Indoor Hall here on Tuesday.
In the semifinals, Kartik beat Akshar Atharv of Patna 21-7, 21-13 while Ranveer Singh beat Priyanshu Sinha of Jehanabad 21-16, 21-17.
In the U-17 girls category Vaibahvi Singh of Katihar will take on Srija of Patna. In the semifinals, Vaibhavi Singh beat Suhani Kumari of Muzaffarpur 16-21, 21-19, 21-13 and Srija got the better of Somya Bharti of Katihar 21-12, 16-7 (retd).
Later in the evening Sanvie Anand of Bhagalpur moved into the final of girls U-19 section defeating Ranya Rana of Gaya 21-15, 15-21, 21-12. In the second semifinal of the same group Vaibhavi Singh beat Srija of Patna 8-21, 21-14, 21-10 to qualify for the finals.
In the boys U-19 final, Raj Aryan of Nawada will face Kartik of Patna.
