Patna: In the 71st Bihar State Senior Football Championship for SM Moinul Haq Cup, organised by Bihar Football Association, Saharsa defeated Eastern Railway Jamalpur 2-1 at RMK Inter School Football Ground in Banka on Friday.
Mohammad Armaan scored two goals for Saharsa in the 25th and 60th minutes of the game while Eastern Railway Jamalpur’s lone goal was scored by Amit Kumar in the 23rd minute of the game.
Judges for the today’s first match were Santosh Kumar Pandey (Buxar), Mohan Kumar (Patna), Ravi Ranjan (Samastipur) and Arun Hansa (Patna).
In the second Bhagalpur defeated Supaul by 2-0. The first goal for Bhagalpur was scored by Shivam Kumar in the 40th minute and Gopal Kumar Singh scored the second goal in the 55th minute of the game.
Bihar Football Association Secretary Syed Imtiaz Hussain said that on August 12 Eastern Railway Jamalpur will meet Supaul district.
