BSPHCL annex Bihar Corporate Cricket League title

Patna: Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL) won the Bihar Corporate Cricket League Season 2 title defeating Straight Drive by 9 wickets at Urja Stadium on Friday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Straight Drive scored 108 runs losing all the wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply BSPHCL team scored 113 runs in 13.1 overs losing one wicket and won the match by 9 wickets. Man of the final match award was given to Arnav Kishore.

Chief Guest Principal Secretary, Road Construction Department, Pratyay Amrit, special guest Principal Secretary, Finance Department Lokesh Kumar and Managing Director of Bihar State Power Holding Company Ltd Mahendra Kumar gave away the trophies to winner and runner-up teams. Apart from the trophy, the winning team was given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and the runner-up team was given a cash prize of Rs 50000.

Suraj Kashyap: Best bowler

Rishabh Rakesh of the Straight Drive, and Shakibul Gani: Best fielder

Sunil Kumar and Jasim Ahmed were the umpires of the final match while Avinash Shukla was the third umpire. The stage was anchored by Mrityunjay Jha. Organising secretary Nishant and joint secretary Kishore welcomed the guests while vice president Kumar Maharshi proposed a vote of thanks.
