Patna: PYFC beat Om XI 2-0 in the Rekha Devi Memorial Patna District Junior Division Football League match being played under the aegis of Patna Football Association at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium on Tuesday. In another match, Patna Academy got a walkover as Sporting FC did not turn up.
In the first match, both the teams were goalless at the interval. Anil scored both the goals for the winning team in the 46th and 51st minutes.
Player of the match award was given to Anil by Satyendra Kumar, HOR of Bihar Football Association. Sawan of PYFC was shown a yellow card by the referee Kishan Kumar. Before the start of the match, tribute was paid to Bihar Police player Giridhari Singh by observing a two-minute silence on his sudden demise.
