Khelo India Women Road Cycling League begins in Patna

Patna: With the administrative cooperation of the Bihar State Sports Authority, the two-day Khelo India Women’s Road Cycling League began here on the Ganga Path on Saturday. Bandana Preyasi, secretary, Art Culture and Youth Department of Bihar inaugurated the league.

Pankaj Raj, director, Bihar State Sports Authority was the guest of honour. Giving this information, Dr Kaushal Kishore Singh, secretary, Cycling Association of Bihar said that Manju Kumari of Bihar stood first, Baby Kumari second and Riya Biswas of Bengal got third place in ITT 20 km senior category.

In the 16 kilometre junior category, Bengal’s Riya Roy stood first, Bihar’s Vinita Kumari second and Gudiya Kumari third. In the 12 kilometre sub-junior category, Suhani Kumari of Bihar stood first, Sindhu Lata Hemran of Jharkhand stood second and Shalini Kumari of Bihar stood third. Ansuya Ran Singh DIG (Home Guard) gave away the prizes.
