Patna: Bihar girls team has entered the semi-finals of the Kabaddi event of the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 being held in Indore (Madhya Pradesh) by winning its two league matches.
Now, Bihar girls’ team is assured of medal at least bronze after reaching the semi-finals.
Playing in Pool B, the Bihar team defeated Chandigarh 59-24 in their league match and West Bengal 39-27 in the second league match. By winning two league matches, the Bihar team reached the semi-finals. Himachal Pradesh has also won both their league matches in this group. Bihar will take on Himachal Pradesh in the final league match on Tuesday. For Bihar, Suruchi, Indu, Riya, Nancy Priya, Gungun performed well.
President of Bihar State Kabaddi Association and Advisor to Chief Minister Anjani Kumar Singh, Secretary Kumar Vijay Singh, Doha Asiad gold medalist Rajeev Kumar Singh and all the office bearers of the association congratulated the team players, coach Bhavesh Kumar and manager Shweta on the achievement of Bihar girls.
