Patna: The first Bihar inter district roller skating championship was organised at the local Acharya Sudarshan Patna Central School under the aegis of Bihar Skate Association and hosted by Patna District Roller Skating Association. In this championship, skaters from Patna and other districts of Bihar showed their prowess together for the first time.
The championship was inaugurated by Acharya Shri Sudarshan Ji Maharaj by flying a balloon and encouraging the children.
Around 450 players participated in this event. 21 gold, 21 silver and 21 bronze medals were distributed among players aged three to 45 years. Special Olympics players also participated in the competition.
Bihar Skating Association President Amar Bharti, Bihar State Skate Gold Medalist Manoj Kumar and other respected members of Bihar Skate Association welcomed the chief guest Shri Acharya Sudarshan Ji Maharaj with a bouquet and shawl. The players were awarded by Patna District Sports Officer Omprakash.
