Patna: The two-day 33rd Bihar State Kyorugi and 6th Poomsae Taekwondo Championships began at Patliputra Sports Complex here today. The championships is being organised under the aegis of Bihar Taekwondo Association by Patna Taekwondo Association.
Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority, Raveendraa Sankaran inaugurated the championships by lighting the lamp. Organizing president Manish Chandra Rai welcomed him with bouquets and mementos. Organising secretary JP Mehta proposed a vote of thanks. Many dignitaries including Bihar Taekwondo Association’s joint secretary Samta Rahi, Nandu Kumar, vice president Arun Kumar were present on the occasion. The championships is being organized on four courts. For the first time, electronic sensor machine is being used in this championships.

Above 46 kg: Gold – Khushboo Kumari (Sheikhpura), Silver – Rani Praveen (Begusarai), Bronze – Kumar Harshika (Muzaffarpur), Ishita Lal (Patna)
46-49 kg: Gold – Chelsea (Jehanabad), Silver – Smile Kumari (Patna), Bronze – Pooja Kumari (Begusarai), Dipti Kumari (Nawada)
49 to 53 kg: Swarna-Ragni Kumari (Begusarai), Rajat-Kiran Kumari (Sheikhpura), Bronze-Swarajali (Patna)
53 to 57 kg: Gold-Akanksha Kumari (Begusarai), Silver-Smile Kumar (West Champaran); Bronze – Geeta Kumari (Sheikhpura), Jhanvi Kumari (Patna).
57 to 62 kg: Swarna-Shreya Rani (Begusarai), Silver-Kamni Kumari (Begusarai)
67 to 73 kg: Swarna-Jyoti Kumari (Muzaffarpur)
Above 73 kg : Gokd – Urja Rai (Begusarai), Silver – Priya Gupta (Patna)
