Patna: About 275 principals, teachers, educationists, sportspersons and social workers honoured with Excellent Service Award on the eve of Teacher’s Day, at Hotel Maitriye Inn, Boring Road, Patna on Sunday.
MLC Prof Nawal Kishore Yadav awarded the teachers in felicitation ceremony organised by Bihar Ball Badminton Association. Earlier, Prof Yadav inaugurated the function.
Addressing the gathering Prof. Yadav said that teachers have always reformed the society and given a new direction. It is teachers who awaken the feeling of social welfare in us. According to ancient Indian beliefs, the position of a teacher is considered higher than that of God. Because teachers only teach us to choose the right or wrong path. He said teachers are role models for the society. The state government should stop harassing teachers by making new laws and regulations every day. Government should first improve school infrastructure
Bihar Ball Badminton Association vice president-cum-BJP spokesperson Prof Suheli Mehta said in her address that this felicitation ceremony is being organised continuously for the last many years by Bihar Legislative Council member Prof. Naval Kishore Yadav. In this programme organised under the aegis of Bihar Ball Badminton Association, apart from teachers, it is a matter of pride to honour sportspersons and social worker.
The guests were welcomed by Gouri Shankar, secretary of Bihar Ball Badminton Association. On this occasion, joint secretary of Bihar Ball Badminton Association Mitali Mitra, Dr Shanti Kumari Sinha, Secretary of Patna District Ball Badminton Association Dr Arun Dayal, Dr Musarrat Jahan, Shiv Narayan Pal, Sanjeev Poddar, Pankaj Kumar, Raj Kumar, Neha Rani and many academicians were present.
