Muri, Ranchi: The 19th Jharkhand State Sub-Junior Wushu Championship concluded at St. Michael’s School, Muri. Chanchal Bhattacharya, president, Jharkhand Wushu Association, was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
Dr Rakesh Kumar, director of St. Michael’s School was the special guest on this occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he said that his school will continue to strive for the development of the players. Shivendra Nath Dubey, Rajesh Sahu , Shailendra Dubey, Razi Ahmed, Ratnesh Kumar, Gokulanand Mishra, Amarendra Dutt and Sumit Kumar were the other guests at the closing function.
Amarendra Dutt Dwivedi anchored the stage while Razi Ahmed proposed a vote of thanks.
Wushu player Purnima Linda, who returned home after winning a bronze medal from the Moscow International Wushu Championship, was accorded a grand welcome at the beginning of the closing ceremony. Certificates and medals were given to the players by the guests.
The gold medallists of this championship have been selected for the Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship to be held in Chandigarh.
